David Burn has practiced law in Middle Tennessee since 1980 and is a Martindale-Hubble “AV” rated lawyer with broad and deep experience in corporate and business law. He has served as a corporate general counsel, a private practice lawyer in a variety of settings (including large firm) and as a state securities regulator. In addition, he has been an arbitrator for FINRA (formerly the National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc.) since 1989 and has chaired nearly 20 FINRA arbitration panels. He has also been an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the National Futures Association. He is a member of the Nashville and Tennessee Bar Associations.

Chief Operating Officer, Accord Insurance Network of America, Inc., Ft. Lauderdale, FL May, 2008 - November, 2008 - Responsible for the growth and operations of a State of Florida based membership network of independent insurance agents. 

Vice President and General Counsel, M633, Inc., Franklin, TN January, 2005-February, 2008 - In-house counsel for a sales and marketing company to the financial services industry. Job included general corporate issues, corporate governance, human resources, contract drafting and review and securities and insurance specific matters.

Of Counsel, Stokes & Bartholomew, Nashville, TN 1999-2004 - Represented broker-dealers, investment advisers and commodity trading advisers in their formation and registration. Also represented mutual funds, hedge funds and commodity pools in their formation and the raising of capital. In addition, assisted companies in raising capital (both private and public) and in mergers and acquisitions. 

Of Counsel, Gerrish & McCreary, Memphis and Nashville, TN 1994-1999 - Served as primary bankruptcy counsel in the State of Tennessee for a national sub-prime auto lender. In addition, litigated complex commercial cases.

Partner, Burn & Meyer, Nashville, TN 1985-1989 - Represented small and start-up businesses in corporate and commercial law, as well as securities private placements. Also represented plaintiffs in securities litigation and arbitrations, including class action litigation. 

Staff Attorney, Securities Division, Department of Commerce and Insurance, State of Tennessee 1981-1985 - Responsible for broker-dealer and investment adviser compliance and securities enforcement, including more than twenty administrative proceedings. In addition, served as a Special Assistant District Attorney General for Madison and Blount Counties in Tennessee on criminal cases.
